Welcome Reception

The Welcome reception will take place on Monday, August 28, starting at 18:00 right after the end of the sessions, in the campus St Charles, with a unique opportunity to meet and greet the Physical Review Editors.

We hope to see you all there. Take a chance to enjoy a friendly atmosphere of meeting old friends and creating contacts. Beverages with some apetizers will be served.

 

Conference Dinner

The conference dinner will take place at Fort Ganteaume, a historical monument overlooking the hold harbor (Vieux Port), in Marseille on Wednedsday, August 30, starting at 19:00. You will have the chance to enjoy and experience local dishes, combined with music.

How to get to the Red Fort (Fort Ganteaume) from the conference venue?
- By take Bus 82s (one bus every 30mn) at Gare Saint-Charles and get off at bus stop Fort Saint-Nicolas;
- OR: take Metro Line 1 at Gare Saint Charles and get off at Metro Station Vieux Port, then take Bus 82 or 82s at bus stop Vieux Port (one bus every 15mn) and get off at bus stop Fort Saint-Nicolas.

 

Excursions
For the conference participants there will be the possibility of an organized excursion to the Frioul Archipelago (bars, restaurants, beaches, walks): Frioul Islands are 20 minutes from Marseille Vieux Port by boat (one departure per hour) and note that the boat's trajectory passes nearby the If Castle where the Count of Monte Cristo was kept prisoner.
Alternative to the Frioul Archipelago for sea sick people: visit of the Vieux Panier (Old Basket) quarter (left) or Notre Dame de La Garde (right) with The Little Train (one departure per hour from Vieux Port).
